Senator Ahmed Makarfi was declared the National Chairman of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Portharcourt, Rivers state on Monday July 4, by court.
The Federal High Court also declared Makarfi legally appointed by the Convention.
Senator Makarfi earlier said that the current crisis and disamony going on in the party, shows that the party is worth struggling for.
Former Chairman Ali modu Sheriff was sacked on May 21st during the national convention in portharcourt, and inaugurated a caretaker committee led by Makarfi. The declaration of Makarfi as the Chairman as not be accepted by Ali modu Sheriff, he keep insisting he is still the Chairman.
