The Governor of Lagos state Akinwunmi Ambode as order the high road hawkers to stop selling along the road from 1st July.The decision came as a result of the incident that occur between the mass transit known as BRT, and a hawker who sell snacks along maryland road.
The Mass transit was said to have hit the boy when he was been chased by KAI when selling his snacks, the accident lead to the death of the boy.
"Hawkers should not be see on roads, if caught selling on high roads will be jail for six months or pay a fine of 90 thousand naira including the buyer, no one is exempted" said Ambode.
